Power of Words- Can Make or Break!
Someone has rightly said, “First weigh, then say.” If you really wish to know what can go wrong if the words are not gauged before their application, just throw a glance at the following sentences:
Here are the extracts of some leave/absence request letters written by the employees:
An employee applied for casual leave in the following manner:
"Since I've to go to the cremation ground at 11 o'clock and I may not return, please grant me one day casual leave."
>> "I am suffering from fever, please declare one-day ."
>> "My wife is suffering from sickness and as I am her only husband at home I may be granted leave."
>> "As my headache is paining, please grant me leave for the day. "
A few more glimpses of such 'funny' blunders:
Letter writing:
Covering note:
"Respected Sir, I am enclosed herewith..."
A candidate's job application:
"This has reference to your advertisement for a 'Receptionist and a Sales-person: Male or Female'.... As I am both (!!) for past many years and I can handle both with good experience, kindly consider my application...
So, beware! All depends upon the careful usage of words while communicating! Once the art of “WHAT”, “WHEN”, and “HOW” to speak/convey is known, things flow smooth, without being caught in jams/roadblocks of misunderstanding or ambiguity.

Now, just think on a broader perspective... Does this concept not apply on our life as a whole? If we know the art of WHAT, WHY, and HOW relating to our goal in life, then, undeniably, our lives too will run on fast track, and we will be enjoying a smooth and happy ride!
